Reading, love to read and love to get Free Books

Yes I love to read. I am kind of picky about what I read, but I love to read. I have found a web site called Goodreads. Their web site is Goodreads. The best part about this site that I love, beside the reviews is that they have a page called Giveaways. I have won at least 12 books, free books that is, all I have to do is read them and review them, so cool. I chose the books I want, meaning there is a list of books and you enter in the drawing for the book and if you win they will send you the free book. I have so far received 8 books. And one book I didn't win the author sent me a free link to my Kindle to read it. I am so excited about this. I don't usually win anything and to free books is awesome. I have been doing this for less than a month.
Here is a picture of some of the books I have received;

So far I have read Screenshot, very intense Techno Thriller,The Impersonator which was a really great mystery. I have also read I Don't Know, an interesting self help book about admitting when you don't know.
I am right now reading Aunty Lee's Delights, seems like a good book. And the book I am reading on my Kindle is called  Once Upon a RockStar, another book that the author asked me to read and review.

I have always loved to read, but haven't been reading much until I received my Kindle from my son Matt for Christmas. I have found many free books from Amazon.com and mostly read those. I didn't think a Kindle was for me, but it.
Here is a Free book on Amazon.com Murder in the South of France
I dont know how long it is free but this can give you an idea if your interested.
Well that is what is happening in my life, tonight I hope to work in my scrap room.
Thanks for reading.

Mother's Heartbreak, some pictures of Justin

Well I have a blog for this, but haven't really posted on it.
The biggest heart break to me, is the loss of a child, no matter what the age that child is. I loss my oldest son 8 years ago. He was 22 years old. I miss him every day. We as a family miss him every day.

Lately, I have been going through boxes, trying to clean and to sort stuff out,  I find a lot of pictures. Most I share on Facebook. But I wanted to share a couple on my blog. I don't really feel like talking about what happen, he died sudden though. There is info on his Facebook page if you want to read more about him. I hope to start blogging about this more. I have read that writing can be therapeutic. Of course maybe no one wants to read it, but that is ok.

I love this first picture of him, He was in 1st grade. He was so cute, spunky and sweet. If you notice his smile you will see he is missing a tooth and one is growing in, the interesting thing is that the tooth was the wrong tooth growing in, it was an eye tooth, not a front tooth, so his Uncle Greg, who is a Dentist pulled his tooth. Was not a fun day at all. He hated it being done and so did we, we all felt his pain. But that didn't last long and the tooth grew out and the correct one grew in. He still had a eye tooth grow in the right spot. This picture always reminds me of his Grandmother Pafford, I don't know why, maybe just some resemblance of his Grandmother.

This next picture I found was probably taken around 2001 or possible 2002, need to do more research and try to find out, but it is picture of him helping Matthew, with Derrick and Ryan at the table, I am in the background. It must be Christmas day as there is a tree in the back ground as well. I hope I can find more pictures of this. My boys are all so wonderful and I am so blessed to have been picked to be their Mom.

New card design Smile

Well yesterday I was cleaning my craft room, and of course I get distracted and decided to make a card. I wanted to do a blog challenge since I couldn't come up with anything myself. So while looking at blogs I found this site: CAS (E) this Sketch.

I thought the sketch was cute and simple enough. Of course it took me time to decide what I wanted to do and what to use. So here is my card:

Everything is from Close To My Heart;
Click on the links to go to my online store to find the products:
The stamp used in on this card is a Hostess only stamp, it is so awesome. In order to get this stamp you would need to host a gathering or online party and to have sales of $150 or more.

Here is another image (I didn't create this) of what the stamps can do.

The stamp set has the look of Washi tape. More to come on that.

I hope you liked the card I made. I am hoping to do more challenges this week.
Have a great week.

Went to the doctors today and he gave me medicine for an infection, great, I have tons to do and am planning on going to see my son this weekend in San Diego, I am still going. Well anyway, it is 4am and I am wide awake, must be the medicine, I am feeling slightly better. Probably the pain meds. Lol.
Ok so I wanted to learn how to make a signature for my blog posts. I found a really cool blog that explains it. Now I just need to find the time. Ok so I was looking through her blog and she has a contest for free ad space, I am always trying to find free stuff, I always try to enter, I don't usually win, but I thought why not! So I entered, then reading further she is having a blog hop Thursday, yes it is Friday but I am wide awake. So I am entering the blog hop, Maybe someone out there will like my blog, who know, but worth a try. I do need to blog more often. I have plenty to blog about, just need to do it.

More Studio J from CTMH from the Texas Convention 2012

Well I still  have a couple more pages to share from the pages I made using Studio J. These are from the Close To My Heart Convention last year 2012 in Texas. I had such a great time there, That was my 2nd convention with CTMH and so worth going. I can't wait for this years, which is next week I am so excited.

This layout is of the General Session. Meeting up with friends and meeting new ones is so much fun. I love seeing all the ideas and all the creativity that is at the convention.

Here is another layout I did, the page on the left was taken in front of the Hilton.  The two smaller pictures on the left are of my BFF Jann and she made everyone on our team a cup. She did a great job!!  The page on the right is of my BFF Jann and a friend's daughter. Jann had lived in Texas before and introduce me to some of her friends, they were all awesome. I was really impressed with Texas as I have never been there before. I really want to go back there and see the sights there again.
Jann also introduce me to another friend, Kay, she is really awesome and loves making things, beautiful quilts and she does scrapbook. Her and her husband took us out to dinner, loved!!!!! the food. It was so good, I would go back just to eat the food there again. I am sure she thought I was strange as I was taking pictures of her grass, I have never seen grass like that. It was so green and beautiful there. She also had such a cute little dog.

Well I hope you enjoyed these layouts I did in Studio J, if you would like more info about Studio J click here: Studio J  It is so easy to use.

Of course you can check out my online store:

Thanks for reading, hope your having a great summer so far, if you going to the CTMH convention I hope we meet!!

Studio J, Digital scrapbooking, Close to My Heart Dallas Texas Convention 2012

Well I have finally found some time to work on my Studio J Digital scrapbooking.I wanted to do some of the 2012 Dallas, Texas convention. I had a great time there, I have never been to Dallas before and that was so cool to be able to go. It is really green there. I live in Arizona where it isn't so green, just the cactus are green.
The Convention was awesome, had so much fun, learned so much and loved all the great stuff we received.
Here is a few of the pages I did using  Studio J
They had a area where you can take pictures, My BFF and I did the wanted signs, so much fun!! I used the Dakota scrapbook pages to make this layout. YOu can check out my Close To My heart site and find info about using Studio J to create some awesome pages. If you have any questions please email me or leave a comment and I will get back to you. click here for more info about Studio J.
We also had a banquet and that was a lot of fun as well. Wow I am using the word fun so many times because I really did have fun and enjoyed my time there with my friends.
On the right side of the page is my upline Kelly Hammonds, there was a contest to see who can raise the most money for Operation Smile, and Kelly worked very hard and won the contest, so proud of her. What she one was a chance to go to the Philippines and help with Operation smile for a week. All I know is it was an awesome experience for her. She will share about the trip in June when we go to Disney World for the 2013 convention. If you want more info about Operation Smile, click here.
