Cool Video

Well I saw a really cool video, of course from CTMH. They do a great job of explaining how to stamp. I have added more video's from CTMH on the right side of my blog. I really find these helpful and plan on adding more videos.
I hope everyone likes this. I just can't wait to get back to making stuff. I want to make cards and scrapbook, I am hoping to start within a couple of weeks.

Been absent

Hi everyone:

Well I haven't been able to log in and do any crafts. I broke two of my fingers. One of my fingers is not bending, I broke it at the joint, this isn't fun. The doctor told me to try typing some with fingers. Not going as well as I would like it to.
I am hoping to start working on some projects soon. I really miss crafting.

Meeting a Friend

While I was in Dallas, I was so lucky to meet Terrie, we have been email friends for years but have never met in person. We had such a great time together, we visited the Dallas LDS Temple. We then had Dinner at LaMadeline's, I hope I spelled it correctly. I loved  the food there, I wish we had something like that here in Arizona. But the best part was meeting Terrie, wouldn't have matter if we had McDonalds, I was just so glad to meet her. We have so much to talk about that we could spend the whole week together and not run out of things to talk about. Kids, family, church, life, life experiences are many of the things we talked about and could relate to each other.
Just want to tell Terrie that I am so glad that we met and hope to meet again!! You will have to come to Arizona soon.

Grateful For You

I really love the Pemberley paper pack. I found a few challenges to do, so I decided on the Color My Heart and the Frosted Designs challenge.
  • The Color My Heart challenge is Create a project using a current paper pack with one or two added colors (cardstock, ink, other B&Ts),
  • The Frosted Designs Challenge is this week is to use Circles in your cards, layouts and off the page projects!
  •
The flowers are from the Pemberley Workshop on the Go, and it is the stamp set that comes with it. I cut the flowers out using my Cricut and the Art Philosophy cartridges. I really like adding the green which is the Pear ink. I am not sure how much it matches but I really like they way it works. I had fun making this card.

Congratulations

Hi everyone, hope everything is going well. I am doing well, but hot, it is HOT in Arizona. Well today I wanted to try two challenges. Of course using Close To My Heart stuff.  I chose the Pemberley paper pack I really love the colors in this pack. The stamp is Card Word Puzzle #C1494 and pop dot to stand out a littel bit.  The lace flower and button is Bohemian Assortment #Z1687, the lace is from CTMH stash and the strip of paper came from the edge of the B & T paper. The card is Colonial White Circle cards and I cut the next layer with my Cricut using the Art Philosophy Cartridge.
This was my first time using the circle card and I really liked using the Cricut to cut out the next layer.
I am still trying to get good pictures with my camera, but I don't think the pictures look as good as they should. I am going to keep practicing my photography.
The two challenges are Heart 2 Heart Challenge and Mojo Mondays.

Here are some more pictures using the Pemberley paper pack;
I didn't make these but just wanted to share them with you.

No Tears in Heaven

No Tears in Heaven
~ by Ferna Lary Mills

There are many things in life that no one understands,
like why a life so very young can slip right through our hands.
One moment life is perfect and the next it falls apart,
leaving us with nothing but an eternally aching heart.

Our souls cry out in agony amidst the suffering and despair.
We feel the pain and tear our clothes and scream "It’s just not fair!"
Spirits are now shattered. Hearts will never be the same.
We grasp at straws and seek to find the one who is to blame.

Horrific as our life now seems, one thing remains quite true.
Our little ones have now been freed to do things angels do.
They can't recall the suffering of those last days they were here.
They remember not the sorrow, the hurt, nor the fear.

There are no tears in Heaven. No more sorrow. Only Joy.
Heaven is filled with peals of laughter from each little girl and boy.
We can only try to imagine, in spite of all earthly wrongs,
our little angels are learning the words to the Angel's songs.

Amidst the children's laughter and their Heavenly play,
there's also more important work going on there today.
Jesus is building mansions, never taking time to sleep,
for Reunions are being planned, yes, even as we weep.

The children gather around Him and listen to Him speak,
for He has all the answers that they curiously seek.
He tells them for a time, in Heaven, they must wait,
and then they can greet us at Heaven's pearly gate.

National Scrapbooking Day

So what are the chances of buying really cute double-sided scrapbook paper for about 20¢ per sheet?!

I'd say 100% when you place a $35 order of CTMH items from the current Idea Book!!

"Dotty For You" B&T duo 24 count paper pack is only $5.00. That breaks down to about 20¢ per piece of gorgeous 12x12" paper!!

Pinterest

Well today while checking out Pinterest, like I do everyday, I found a cool site that tells you how to add a gadget that shows you how to link your Pinterest account to your blog. So I wasn't sure if I could do this. I asked my son the programmer, and he said he would help me later. Well I didn't want to wait for later so I did it myself. Here is the link for the page if you want to add one yourself. http://www.codeitpretty.com/2012/03/pinterest-gadget-for-blogger.html

Not Just Paper and Glue: It’s Pinterest Party Time!

Not Just Paper and Glue: It’s Pinterest Party Time!

Finding the best Mexican food Tacos

Well my husband and I are trying to find the best Mexican food tacos. We are not looking at Taco-bell or other fast food Tacos, even though we do love Jack in the Box tacos we want to find the best in town. So we first started at Macayo's awesome, so far the best, the best shell (that is very important) and the shredded beef was awesome. Have you ever heard of Better than sex Cake? Well Macayo's Tacos are Better than sex Tacos. Well since we started with the best, we still  are searching for a better tacos, not sure if we will find any better-
Macayo's I give a 9, will have to try again.

Well the next place we went to was Pedro's in Glendale, AZ a local Mexican food place, I love their food there. Yum yum, ok about the taco, The shell was freshly made that morning, and the shredded beef was great but not perfect, not as good as Macayo's. But I would eat there again because next time I go I am taking pictures of the food.
Pedro's a 8

Next place is called Herrera's Mexican food. Just a little local place we have been before, the food is ok, I love their chips. The food was ok, but not what I want. Will go back so I can take pictures.
Herrera's 4

Monday we went to Manuel's in Glendale, AZ. Their enchiladas are awesome, perfect for what I like. I didn't care for the chips, they looked burnt to me, but tasted ok, I did eat them. as for the taco, the shell was awesome, the shredded beef was very tender and tasted fine, except no flavor, it is good if you don't want any spice in your meat. ok so the meat was kind of flavorless. I am thinking I like Pedro's tacos better than Manuel's . But I will eat there again.
Manuel's a 7

More Kitties pictures

Just some cute pictures of the kitties and our Tiger cat, they are just so cute, but we can't keep them.
