Book Description

Wright delights with this collection of hilarious tales about mothering, marriage, society and being a woman. Titles include: How the Phone Thwarted my Birth Control (or Why Disconnecting the Phone is 95% More Effective than Vasectomy), Belts Are the New Lace Panties, Good Fences Make Good Voyeurs, People for the Ethical Treatment of Riflemen, and many, many more. Wright is a modern-day Erma Bombeck with a hip edge and never-fail wit!

On an L-shaped sofa at his home high atop the Hollywood Hills, 54-year-old “Weird Al” Yankovic – the Grammy-winning song parodist famous for such hits as “Like A Surgeon,” “I Love Rocky Road,” and “Eat It” – lets down his legendary hair for a relaxed, revealing and often hilarious three-hour conversation. Among other topics, Al opened up about his nerdy childhood, his late-night writing binges, his gut-wrenching reach for movie stardom, and his hopes for his latest album, Mandatory Fun. He also discussed his future plans to have a drug problem.

The interview was conducted by Mara Altman, the author of five bestselling Kindle Singles including “Baby Steps,” “Bearded Lady,” and the Kindle Singles Interview with Tom Robbins. Altman has worked as a staff writer for The Village Voice, and has also written for New York Magazine, The New York Times and Salon. In 2009, HarperCollins published Altman's first book, “Thanks For Coming: A Young Woman's Quest for an Orgasm,” which was optioned as a comedy series by HBO.

The Neighbor (Short Story) (Kindle Single)

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

Every city has its wonders and mysteries. For the Pomerantz family, the most disturbing mystery at the moment is the identity and the intentions of their new neighbor, in this eBook original short story—a prequel to The City, the gripping and moving new novel by Dean Koontz.

The year is 1967. Malcolm Pomerantz is twelve, geeky and socially awkward, while his seriously bright sister, Amalia, is spirited and beautiful. Each is the other’s best friend, united by a boundless interest in the world beyond their dysfunctional parents’ unhappy home. But even the troubled Pomerantz household will seem to be a haven compared to the house next door, after an enigmatic and very secretive new neighbor takes up residence in the darkest hours of the night.

These books below are free at the time of posting, I don't know how long it they will be free.

Fanning the Flames

USA TODAY bestselling author Victoria Dahl is playing with fire in her sassy and sexy new contemporary romance series, Girls' Night Out. Get a taste with this novella, Fanning the Flames…
Burning for you
Some men are off-limits. Close friends of your ex-husband, for instance. Or firefighters who work in the same building as you. Yet despite her best judgment, librarian Lauren Foster can't help noticing fire captain Jake Davis whenever he jogs by…shirtless. They've always been friends, but all it takes is one not-so-chance meeting at a local bar and one not-quite-innocent walk home to ignite a fierce, uncontrollable desire between them.
Widower Jake Davis has tried to ignore the spark he feels whenever Lauren's around, but once he sees her curves in a little black dress, there's no turning back. No matter how often she says she's all wrong for him, the sexy, outspoken divorcĂ©e is driving him wild in the best possible way. Maybe she's just blowing off steam. Or maybe he can convince her to fan these flames into something deeper, hotter and truer than they ever expected….

It was just a work party, filled with kissing the well-dressed rear ends of clients and fake smiles. Until my boss accused me of something I didn’t do. Until I got pissed and then there was this guy who was hot and flirting with me, and then there were his hands and the backseat of my car and a night of everything but you know what.

I never expected to see him again. But suddenly Julian Dohring is everywhere. And I can’t get over the endless tattoos that cover his arms, how he’s apparently a recovering video game addict, and dresses like he’s ready to walk down the red carpet at any moment.

Ten years ago I made a pledge to stay away from alcohol and sex, and to never get too personal with anyone. It’s gotten me this far. I’m twenty-seven, I have a career I’ve worked my heart and soul into, and more money than I could ever blow on shoes and the finer things in life. My attitude and pride have always been enough to keep any man from getting too interested. Until Julian…who claims I can’t dance, and has the nerve to call me a “peach.”

I’m Sage McCain, and needless to say, Julian has my attention.

*All books in The McCain Saga may be read independently. This is a family saga and each book is about a different sibling. The following are listed from oldest to youngest sibling.

I love reading a series of books, I personally can't wait to read all of these books.
