Studio J, Digital scrapbooking, Close to My Heart Dallas Texas Convention 2012

Well I have finally found some time to work on my Studio J Digital scrapbooking.I wanted to do some of the 2012 Dallas, Texas convention. I had a great time there, I have never been to Dallas before and that was so cool to be able to go. It is really green there. I live in Arizona where it isn't so green, just the cactus are green.
The Convention was awesome, had so much fun, learned so much and loved all the great stuff we received.
Here is a few of the pages I did using  Studio J
They had a area where you can take pictures, My BFF and I did the wanted signs, so much fun!! I used the Dakota scrapbook pages to make this layout. YOu can check out my Close To My heart site and find info about using Studio J to create some awesome pages. If you have any questions please email me or leave a comment and I will get back to you. click here for more info about Studio J.
We also had a banquet and that was a lot of fun as well. Wow I am using the word fun so many times because I really did have fun and enjoyed my time there with my friends.
On the right side of the page is my upline Kelly Hammonds, there was a contest to see who can raise the most money for Operation Smile, and Kelly worked very hard and won the contest, so proud of her. What she one was a chance to go to the Philippines and help with Operation smile for a week. All I know is it was an awesome experience for her. She will share about the trip in June when we go to Disney World for the 2013 convention. If you want more info about Operation Smile, click here.

Well I hope you liked the 2 layouts I shared I will be sharing more this week.

Insomnia: yes I have it

I seem to always have a hard time going to bed. So many things going through my mind, so many ideas I want to do. So nice and quiet. I never seem to be able to get to bed at an early time. I just give up and finding something else to do,like surf the web while watching TV.  I should be doing something creative but never get that far. I also try to read some every night. My son got a Kindle HD Fire and I love it. I never thought I would love my Kindle, but I do. :) I have found so many free books, pretty soon I will not have enough time to read all the wonderful free books that I have found. I also love my Kindle because I can watch Downton Abbey. I didn't start watching it till recently so I need to catch up on the first two seasons. I really like the show and I love the era and style. So creative. Well I am going to go read for a little bit, listen to my Mediation by Andrew Johnson on my Kindle, another reason to love it. And the going to sleep.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Late night Blogger Rose from my rose garden.

Well, we moved into our house almost two years ago. Time has gone by fast. I love my new home, and I am glad we bought this place.
One thing that is so sweet is the roses we have in the rose garden. We had quite a few last year and they smelled so good. This year we have even more and they smell wonderful. I love seeing the roses, I can see them right outside my living room window. But I love going out there and taking pictures of them, lots of pictures. Trying to get good at taking pictures, that is whole different blog post for that.

These are just few. I just love the colors and the smell.
Not sure what else to do with them, I am learning more about how to take care of them. But I am really glad to have these beautiful roses.

Been absent

Hi everyone:

Well I haven't been able to log in and do any crafts. I broke two of my fingers. One of my fingers is not bending, I broke it at the joint, this isn't fun. The doctor told me to try typing some with fingers. Not going as well as I would like it to.
I am hoping to start working on some projects soon. I really miss crafting.

Meeting a Friend

While I was in Dallas, I was so lucky to meet Terrie, we have been email friends for years but have never met in person. We had such a great time together, we visited the Dallas LDS Temple. We then had Dinner at LaMadeline's, I hope I spelled it correctly. I loved  the food there, I wish we had something like that here in Arizona. But the best part was meeting Terrie, wouldn't have matter if we had McDonalds, I was just so glad to meet her. We have so much to talk about that we could spend the whole week together and not run out of things to talk about. Kids, family, church, life, life experiences are many of the things we talked about and could relate to each other.
Just want to tell Terrie that I am so glad that we met and hope to meet again!! You will have to come to Arizona soon.

Grateful For You

I really love the Pemberley paper pack. I found a few challenges to do, so I decided on the Color My Heart and the Frosted Designs challenge.
  • The Color My Heart challenge is Create a project using a current paper pack with one or two added colors (cardstock, ink, other B&Ts),
  • The Frosted Designs Challenge is this week is to use Circles in your cards, layouts and off the page projects!
  •
The flowers are from the Pemberley Workshop on the Go, and it is the stamp set that comes with it. I cut the flowers out using my Cricut and the Art Philosophy cartridges. I really like adding the green which is the Pear ink. I am not sure how much it matches but I really like they way it works. I had fun making this card.

Congratulations

Hi everyone, hope everything is going well. I am doing well, but hot, it is HOT in Arizona. Well today I wanted to try two challenges. Of course using Close To My Heart stuff.  I chose the Pemberley paper pack I really love the colors in this pack. The stamp is Card Word Puzzle #C1494 and pop dot to stand out a littel bit.  The lace flower and button is Bohemian Assortment #Z1687, the lace is from CTMH stash and the strip of paper came from the edge of the B & T paper. The card is Colonial White Circle cards and I cut the next layer with my Cricut using the Art Philosophy Cartridge.
This was my first time using the circle card and I really liked using the Cricut to cut out the next layer.
I am still trying to get good pictures with my camera, but I don't think the pictures look as good as they should. I am going to keep practicing my photography.
The two challenges are Heart 2 Heart Challenge and Mojo Mondays.

Here are some more pictures using the Pemberley paper pack;
I didn't make these but just wanted to share them with you.

Don't forget to check my monthly contest. The link is located at the top.

No Tears in Heaven

No Tears in Heaven
~ by Ferna Lary Mills

There are many things in life that no one understands,
like why a life so very young can slip right through our hands.
One moment life is perfect and the next it falls apart,
leaving us with nothing but an eternally aching heart.

Our souls cry out in agony amidst the suffering and despair.
We feel the pain and tear our clothes and scream "It’s just not fair!"
Spirits are now shattered. Hearts will never be the same.
We grasp at straws and seek to find the one who is to blame.

Horrific as our life now seems, one thing remains quite true.
Our little ones have now been freed to do things angels do.
They can't recall the suffering of those last days they were here.
They remember not the sorrow, the hurt, nor the fear.

There are no tears in Heaven. No more sorrow. Only Joy.
Heaven is filled with peals of laughter from each little girl and boy.
We can only try to imagine, in spite of all earthly wrongs,
our little angels are learning the words to the Angel's songs.

Amidst the children's laughter and their Heavenly play,
there's also more important work going on there today.
Jesus is building mansions, never taking time to sleep,
for Reunions are being planned, yes, even as we weep.

The children gather around Him and listen to Him speak,
for He has all the answers that they curiously seek.
He tells them for a time, in Heaven, they must wait,
and then they can greet us at Heaven's pearly gate.
